Wow, you’re missing the entire point of why people are upset about Ros’s death. For starters, no one I know who has watched or read this series has been okay with Ned’s death. It was necessary for the story to advance, but I have never seen anyone who has been okay with it. It’s his death that starts the War of the Five Kings and firmly establishes Joffrey’s character as a monster.

Secondly, the terrible things that Theon and Jaime go through are important for their future character development. No one ever said it was okay to flay anyone’s finger. No one ever said it was cool that Vargo Hoat (Locke in the show) cut off Jaime’s hand. These events are clearly horrible, but eventually lead to the characters becoming who they are supposed to be later in the series. And on the subject of Theon Greyjoy, Ramsay Snow is an equal opportunity torturer. Read the books and you can acquaint yourself with how he treats his women prisoners as well as his men.

Now let’s talk about Ros, the character that Benioff and Weiss created for the sake of sexposition. Which is about the extent of her character, mind you. Her role in the show was to develop male characters while she was naked on screen, and then she is killed offscreen in a brutal and sexualized way. Her death did nothing to add to the story, because the viewer has already established that Littlefinger and Joffrey are terrible people. People are not upset about Ros’s death because she’s a woman, they are upset because it was used as shock value, and nothing more.

None of the terrible things that happen in this series are okay. The only difference is the things that happened to Ned, Theon and Jaime were narratively relevant to the story, whereas Ros’s death was pointless. People being more upset about how Ros was killed than they were about Ned/Theon/Jaime’s hardships is not a double standard.
